Loss of Sleep Can Lead to Poor Decision-Making

According to a study conducted by the Duke University research team, insomnia or lack of sleep affect our ability to make good decisions when the stakes are high. This is so besides problems of memory and learning capacity. Adequate sleep is important for overall physical and emotional well-being of a person.

Although the amount of sleep a person needs may vary by age and by the individual, the health experts recommend that a sleep of 6 to 8 hours is needed every night. Therefore those having insomnia problem should seek medical treatment without undue delay.
